“I AND YOU” is a play about the search for connection as two young adults (performed by two not-so-young Play Readers!) navigate a rocky path to a relationship. As they work together on a project in witty, non-stop repartee, they discover what makes up an ‘I and You’ relationship – a challenge as Caroline is housebound with a life-threatening illness while Anthony is a popular thriving athlete. Written by Lauren Gunderson, a multiple award-winning playwright, who in 2019 alone had a whopping total of 16 plays in production!
“I AND YOU” is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)

Jacqueline Stallings

John Brannen
John caught the theater bug over 50 years ago, and has tried his hand at acting, directing and stage managing. In 2012 he joined the Peter Luce Players and every Wednesday he delights in reading and discussing plays with his fellow Readers. In 2017 John directed the Peter Luce Players in Mousetrap at the MV Playhouse, and in 2019 he directed The Glass Mendacity at the MV Film Center.

Director/Producer Linda Comstock
Although her first passion is performing, Linda finds that directing (Studio ONE/Boston, PLP productions) brings a very satisfying psychological and interpretive challenge while producing requires business creativity as applied to media, publicity and fundraising. John and Jackie have helped to make her job seamless, and lots of fun! “Bravo team!! Lotsa love to my fellow Playreaders, and many thanks to Richard and his Cinema Paradiso staff!”
“By the close, Gunderson has guided us toward a sublime transfiguration that encompasses ‘Leaves of Grass,’ John Coltrane, Jerry Lee Lewis, space and time, bodies and spirit, death and rebirth.”– The New Yorker
“Unforgettable. The end will leave you gasping.” – Patricia Leslie, Washington Speaks
