The Metropolitan Opera announces its 2022–23 season, featuring the world-premiere staging of The Hours, the company premieres of Champion and Medea, and four more new productions. All performances will be Saturday matinees transmitted live from the Met stage.

The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of live high-definition cinema simulcasts, will begin its 16th season on October 22, with a live transmission of Cherubini’s Medea, a Met-premiere production starring soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role.

The Met: Live in HD is the largest provider of alternative cinema content in the world, with more than 24 million tickets sold since the inception of the series in 2006. The series brings live Met performances to more than 2,200 movie theaters and performing arts centers in more than 70 countries.

Season at a Glance: The Met: Live in HD 2022-23

The Live in HD season will begin on Saturday, October 22nd at 12:55 PM with Medea. Future transmissions are as follows: La Traviata (November 5th at 12:55PM); The Hours (December 10th at 12:55PM); Fedora (January 14th at 12:55PM); Lohengrin (March 18th at 12:00PM); Falstaff (April 1st at 12:30PM); Der Rosenkavalier (April 15th at 12:00PM); Champion (April 29th at 12:55PM); Don Giovani (May 20th at 12;55PM); and Die Zauberflöte (June 3rd at 12:55PM)

All ten operas will be Saturday matinee performances, transmitted live from the Met stage. All start times are Eastern Time. Please check local listings for rebroadcast dates and times.
