The program includes a couple of new films from Sans Souci’s 17th Annual Festival Season, plus favorites from the last few years as well, featuring diverse dancers and dance styles. Featuring dancers from the Royal Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, as well as renown directors Hanna Brotherus, Marlene Millar, Mitchell Rose and viral sensation Julie Gautier, this curated selection presents solos and ensemble work; ballet, tap, contemporary, and some dance forms yet to be named; dazzling, funny, uplifting, tender, and challenging stories — a little taste of all things Sans Souci. See the full listing of titles here.

About Sans Souci Festival:

Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema is a niche film festival specializing in films that integrate the aesthetics of dance and cinema: where cinematography meets choreography. Since 2003 this Boulder-based team has been curating films by locals and internationally renowned artists alike in our hometown, across the country, and around the world. We seek to awaken the viewers to the art form that is dance cinema, building a community of dancers, filmmakers, and audiences around films that give new voice and vision to the dancing body.
