The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of live high-definition cinema simulcasts is returning for it’s 14th season. The 2019–20 Live in HD season of movie theater transmissions begins on October 12 with Puccini’s Turandot, led by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
The 2019-20 Live in HD season features ten transmissions, All live performances begin at 12:55 pm Eastern Time on Saturdays.
The Met: Live in HD is the largest provider of alternative cinema content in the world, with more than 24 million tickets sold since the inception of the series in 2006. The series brings live Met performances to more than 2,200 movie theaters and performing arts centers in more than 70 countries.
Season at a Glance: The Met: Live in HD 2019-20
The Live in HD season will begin on Saturday, October 12 at 12:55 PM with Turandot. Future transmissions are as follows: Manon (October 26 at 12:55PM); Madama Butterfly (November 9 at 12:55PM); Akhnaten (November 23 at 12:55PM); Wozzeck (January 11 at 12:55PM); Porgy and Bess (February 1 at 12:55PM); Agrippina (February 29 at 12:55PM); Der Fliegende Holländer (March 14 at 12:55PM); Tosca (April 11 at 12:55PM); and Maria Stuarda (May 9 at 12;55PM).
All ten operas will be Saturday matinee performances, transmitted live from the Met stage. All start times are Eastern Time. Please check local listings for rebroadcast dates and times.
