Film Lovers of Martha’s Vineyard can unite with an audience of over 100,000 film buffs in over 250 cities across 6 Continents during this week, when the 19th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival screens at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center.

MANHATTAN SHORT announced the Final 10 for its 19th Annual Short Film Festival, a worldwide event taking place in over 250 cinemas across six continents between September 23 and October 2, 2016. MANHATTAN SHORT is the only event of its kind in which the Final 10 will be shown simultaneously across the world during a one-week period, with the Best Film and Best Actor awards determined by ballots cast by the audiences in each participating cinema.New_Logo_MANHATTAN SHORT





The 10 MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries, with Australia and France represented by two films each. These final 10 short films represent the best among a record 844 submissions from 52 countries received by MANHATTAN SHORT for 2016, testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of the short film genre. In addition, for the first time, all of the Final 10 short films will become Oscar-qualified, meaning they will become automatically eligible for an Academy Award nomination.
