Followed by a Zoom discussion with director Snævar Sölvason
When two childhood friends get an unexpected opportunity to keep their fish restaurant open all year round, one of them comes out of the closet as a trans woman, putting a strain on their friendship and they see their lives in a new light.

Icelandic filmmaker Snævar Sölvason was born in Bolungarvík in the Westfjords. He made his feature debut with Albatross (2015), which he self-financed and distributed in Icelandic cinemas.
His later works include the thriller Eden (2019), which screened at international festivals, and the documentary series Skaginn (2023), one of the most watched programs on Iceland’s national broadcaster.
His latest feature, Odd Fish, was among the year’s most successful Icelandic theatrical releases and received nine Edda Award nominations. He is currently developing Godspeed, a road movie supported by the Icelandic Film Centre.
