UNBRANDED the Film is more than a documentary. It’s an adventure, a message, and a wakeup call for better land and wild horse management. Follow along as Ben Masters, Ben Thamer, Jonny Fitzsimons, and Thomas Glover travel 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada through the deepest backcountry in the American West on wild mustangs adopted from the BLM. Director Phill Baribeau, Executive Producer Cindy Meehl, and Producer Dennis Aig combine to create a powerful film following the journey of 4 men, 16 mustangs, and a changing American West.
Cindy Meehl founded Cedar Creek Productions, LLC in 2008. She is the director and executive producer of the highly acclaimed documentary BUCK which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2011. There, it won the coveted Audience Award and continued to win many distinctive awards and honors, including the 2011 Oscar shortlist. Cindy was moved by a Kickstarter video for the documentary UNBRANDED, about four young men riding adopted mustangs 3000 miles from border to border. In January of 2013, she signed on as executive producer of UNBRANDED.

“The film is presented, unabashedly in that over-the-top freedom lovin’ attitude embodied west of the Mississippi, without becoming too cloying or maudlin about it.” — Kurt Halfyard, twitchfilm.com
