Author Tom Dunlop will introduce the documentary and give a background on its history.
This wonderful documentary was narrated by Broadway star and Vineyard resident Katharine Cornell. In its scenes filmmaker Nancy Hamilton captures the history, charm, and spirit of the Vineyard. Using Ms. Hamilton created a cultural treasure that is still relevant today as it was when first shown in the home movies (from the 1920-1960’s) and voice-overs from Vineyard residents, Autumn of 1971 as a feature of Tisbury’s tercentenary celebration.
This screening is presented in collaboration with the MV Museum. Benefiting both the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society and the MV Museum.
