Every Wednesday Night – All Summer Long
Movie starts at 8:30 approximately, feel free to come early and picnic!
From Executive Producer Kelly Marie Tran (Raya and the Last Dragon, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) – Over the course of a hot summer day in Los Angeles, the lives of 25 young Angelenos intersect. A skating guitarist, a tagger, two wannabe rappers, an exasperated fast-food worker, a limo driver—they all weave in and out of each other’s stories. Through poetry they express life, love, heartache, family, home, and fear. One of them just wants to find someplace that still serves good cheeseburgers.
What the critics are saying:
“If Blindspotting was Carlos López Estrada’s ode to Oakland, then this inspirational spoken-word ensemble project is his hallelujah to L.A… Summertime, an upbeat, feature-length poetry slam that just might be the most inspirational movie to hit the indie circuit this year.” – Peter Debruge, Variety
“…once the intoxicating performances and melodic delivery take hold, it never lets go!” – Collider Directed by Carlos López Estrada (Blindspotting, Raya and the Last Dragon)
