Paul Karasik Exhibits at the Film Center
Opening Saturday, October 17th from 6-7:00pm
Vineyard-based cartoonist, Paul Karasik, will be exhibiting his original cartoons in the Feldman Family Artspace at the MV Film Center in Vineyard Haven from October 13 – November 15. Original drawings from The New Yorker will be on display, but the show will emphasize the Vineyard with cartoons done for various Vineyard publications. Originals and signed, personally inscribed prints will be available.
In addition to winning two Eisner Awards, the highest honor in the field of comics, and having his work published in The New Yorker, Paul Karasik is a graphic novelist, memoirist, editor, comics historian, and internationally recognized educator. On the Vineyard he is one of the founders of The Charter School and a former board member for The Permanent Endowment for MV.
The public is invited to an Opening Reception to meet the artist in a social-distanced manner on Saturday, October 17th from 6-7:00. Please bring your sense of humor.
