Festival Difference

What makes our festival different? Organized by all Volunteer, Inspried by the World around us, and Community oriented programming. We know how special the island of Martha's Vineyard is. Therefore, we have designed programs to give back to the community.

They include: Promoting commerce for downtown Vineyard Haven and the entire Island. We are working with local merchants to create a community celebration that will go hand in hand with our festivities.

Development of Island Artists: The MV Int'l Film Festival has partnered with Film Truth Productions to offer local filmmakers (novice or pro) a chance to participate in the festival by submitting a short film or "work in progress" inspired by the theme "Think Globally, Shoot Locally". In 2009, two of those festival "work-in-progress" went on to have their island premieres cooperating with the MV Film Society: MOW CREW and HOUSE OF BONES

For more details and information on how to submit your local short film or "work-in-progress" - please contact info@mvfilmsociety.com

Our Festival is also cooperating with various Island non-profit on events/films that focus light on their mission and services. Contact us for details, rich@mvfilmsociety.com
