August 6-10, 2018, 1-5pm at Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury and MVTV HQ in Oak Bluffs

Campers will learn various video techniques such as video camera use, interviewing skills, musical video, creating public service announcements, and editing of video content.  The camp will meet each day at Polly Hill’s grounds and will mainly use its outdoor spaces each day to create content, except for one day spent at MVTV to learn editing skills. Afternoon snacks will be provided to campers.

This video camp is designed to introduce digital media literacy by way of learning Videography, Interviewing Techniques, Music Production, Public Service Announcements, Stop Motion and Storytelling style of productions. Campers enter the exciting world of video production in this hands-on camp offered to Campers ages 11-14! Campers learn the operation of High Definition cameras and several different editing platforms to create programs that will be aired on MVTV’s Channel 13 and Channel 14! Students will receive their own DVD copy of their work at the end of camp. All materials are provided by MVTV.

Camp participation also includes a free MVTV membership!

Two Film Society Interns will Assist, along with Director of Membership, Garri Saganenko.

Camp is limited to 15 students. Cost is $250 for the week, however we will offer two island student scholarships (contact Garri Saganenko at garri@mvfilmsociety.com for more information).
