TEDx Martha’s Vineyard is the first TED affiliated event on Martha’s Vineyard. The inaugural theme for the 2014 program is “Insanity, Genius, and the Creative Process.” We are pleased to announce the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society (MVFS) will be hosting the event at the Film Center!
The purpose of TED is simple: to inspire! The inaugural TEDx Martha’s Vineyard will feature intimate talks by world-class speakers. Speakers will share key ideas about the creative process from a mind-blowing diversity of backgrounds.
The inaugural TEDx Martha’s Vineyard will take place on August 19, 2014 at the beautiful Martha’s Vineyard Film Center.
Following the TED model, the main event will consist of both live talks and streamed TED videos spread over a single afternoon. Special performances, including live music, poetry readings and dance will also be held during TEDx Martha’s Vineyard.
The talks will be filmed and all content will appear online for free, but as anyone who has gotten to see TED live will tell you, the experience of being in the audience is un-paralleled.
